Founded in 1981 and one of the leading institutions in providing qualified human resources for agroindustrial sector. Agro-Industrial Technology Study Program (ATSP) of the Agro-Industrial Technology Department (ATD) of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (FAET) is one of the outstanding places to pursue higher degree or professional education. ATD is one of the study programs with core competence in developing technology and management for agro-industry. ATD takes its main field of agro-industry, the forefront for shifting
agricultural commodities into industrial products so as to create strong bound
between agriculture and industry. ATD seeks efforts to make this
transformation becomes reality by delivering a quality education in agro-industry
to help graduates with all necessary skills.
ATD offers education programs that implement the application of science and
technology which integrate human, equipment, material, energy, money and
information to utilize agricultural resources to allow industrial development
in creating added values.
In line with expertise’s and skills needed for developing agro-industry, ATD offers three streams of interest including industrial engineering and management, process and bioprocess technology, and environmental engineering and management. In strengthening its core, ATD possesses seven physical laboratories, two instrument laboratories, an engineering drawing studio, training facilities, classrooms, and pilot project for teaching industry, business incubation, and pilot plant.
